Assistie is a marketplace where event planners find, book and pay independent event assistants, and where assistants get booked by planners and get paid for every event they work.
How it works
For planners
- 1. Create your event. Add the date, venue and the roles you need covered: coordinators, setup crew, day-of assistants.
- 2. Search vetted assistants. Every assistant is ID-verified and referenced by two planners. Compare profiles, portfolios, rates and reviews.
- 3. Send a booking request. Choose the guaranteed hours at the assistant's price. The booking is confirmed when they accept.
- 4. Pay in one place. Your card is charged when the assistant accepts and held until after the event. Message, approve extra hours and leave a review in the app.
For event assistants
- 1. Build your profile. Add your experience, skills, portfolio, rates and where you'll travel.
- 2. Get verified. Upload your ID and add two planner references so planners can book you with confidence.
- 3. Accept the bookings you want. Requests come in at your price. Accept or decline; your date is held once you accept.
- 4. Get paid, every time. Pay is collected before the event and released to you 48 hours after. No invoices, no chasing.
Simple, transparent pricing
No subscriptions and no sign-up fees. You only pay when a booking is confirmed.
Planners
15% platform fee per booking
- You pay the assistant's price for the guaranteed hours, plus the 15% platform fee.
- Example: an 8-hour booking at $40/hour is $320 + $48 fee = $368.
- Extra hours are charged after the event, only once you approve them.
- All prices are in US dollars.
Event assistants
Free to join and get booked
- You set your own hourly or flat rate.
- You keep your full rate. The platform fee is paid by the planner, on top.
- Paid 48 hours after the event, with a 1099 sent at year-end.
The Assistie Guarantee
Every booking made through Assistie is protected, for the planner who books and the assistant who shows up.
- Vetted assistants only. Every assistant is ID-verified and referenced by two planners before they can be booked.
- Help if someone cancels. If an assistant cancels, we'll help you find a vetted replacement, and you get a full refund.
- You approve any extra hours before you're charged for them.
- Guaranteed pay. Assistants are paid 48 hours after the event, unless the planner reports a problem.
- Booked hours are the minimum. If the event wraps early, the assistant is still paid for the hours booked.
- Support when something's off. If hours are questioned, Assistie steps in to review and resolve it.
Cancellation & refund policy
A booking request can be cancelled free of charge until the assistant accepts it. Requests the assistant doesn't answer in time (48 hours, or 12 hours when the event is within 7 days) expire and are never charged.
Once a booking is confirmed:
- Planner cancels more than 14 days before the event: the assistant's wages are fully refunded.
- Planner cancels within 14 days: the assistant receives 50% of the booked pay; the rest is refunded.
- Planner cancels within 72 hours: the assistant receives 100% of the booked pay.
- Assistant cancels or doesn't show up: the planner receives a full refund, including the platform fee.
The platform fee is non-refundable when a planner cancels. A planner must report a no-show or a problem within 48 hours of the event; payouts are released after that, and no refunds are made once a payout is released. To request a refund or report a problem, use Report an Issue on the booking or email hello@assistie.com.

Yes. Assistie works on the web at app.assistie.com and in our iPhone app, with the same account.
Who can use Assistie?
Anyone 18 or older. Assistie serves event and wedding planners and event assistants in the United States.
